Here's what we were working with - a backyard with no real path connecting the deck to the shed and the rest of the outdoor space. Just bare ground that would turn into a muddy mess every time it rained. The homeowner wanted something that actually worked and looked good doing it.

Before we laid a single paver, we tackled the drainage side of things. That's the part most people don't think about until water starts pooling near their foundation or washing out their yard. Getting the drain in first meant the finished walkway would hold up long-term, not just look good on day one.

Then came the paver pathway itself. We excavated the corridor, prepped the base, and set each paver with clean, consistent spacing from the deck all the way to the shed. That level of precision matters - it's what separates a walkway that stays flat and solid for years from one that shifts and settles after a few seasons.

Fresh sod was brought in around the pathway to frame it out and give the yard a finished look. Our lawn installation work tied everything together so the yard didn't look like a construction zone once we were done. The result is a backyard that's actually functional - dry underfoot, easy to navigate, and clean from edge to edge.

This kind of job is more involved than it looks from the outside. Drainage, hardscaping, and lawn work all in one go. But that's exactly the kind of full-scope work we do, and getting it all done at once means no headaches down the road.
